Professional Development

Wellspring Consulting is deeply committed to the professional development of our staff.  We hire people who have the potential to become a Director of the firm, and we work intensively with each person to maximize their chance for success.   Promotion timelines are flexible, allowing people to advance as they are ready to take on new responsibilities.

We support professional development through a combination of approaches including:

  • On-the-job training as part of project work, where junior employees are guided and taught by senior members of our consulting team
  • Frequent informal coaching discussions between senior and junior members of our staff
  • Skill-development discussions at the end of every project, along with annual professional development planning
  • Staff development days used to share case learning, develop specific analytic techniques, and discuss important issues in the social sector

Whether an employee stays with Wellspring Consulting over the long term, or moves on to other opportunities, we seek to develop each person so that they can make important contributions to society and to the organizations with which they work.
